The RAS Easter Arts and Craft Competition for 2013

Entries Online are now open


The Sydney Royal Easter Show offers an online facility for most Competitions. Where this facility is not available, Exhibitors can download an Application for Entry form. Entering online has several advantages for Exhibitors:

    •    Cheaper. Online entries do not incur the Offline Processing fee of $8 (incl. GST) per Exhibitor
    •    Quicker. Receive instant confirmation that your application has been received
    •    More efficient. Online entries reduce the processing time for the RAS.

Online entries for the Arts and Crafts Competitions at the 2013 Sydney Royal Easter Show are now open.

Delivery

All Exhibits must be hand delivered to the Arts & Crafts Pavilion, Hall 3, on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March 2013 between 9am and 4pm. We will accept courier and postal deliveries between Monday 4 March and Friday 8 March 2013 during office hours. Further information on delivery of Exhibits can be found in the 2013 Schedule. To ensure that you have included everything that is required, please download the Arts & Crafts Exhibitor Checklist  for Delivery of Exhibits. 

Collection

All Exhibits can be collected from the Arts & Crafts Pavilion, Hall 3, on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 April 2013 between 9am and 4pm

Library Bound Exhibition

You will be delighted to know that the first public showing was set up at Pennant Hills Library on 18th June by Anne Eagar and Jean Riley.  Graham Stone will be at the library on 21st June to demonstrate sewing of book sections. The exhibits have all been loaned by members or form some of the resources held by the Guild.



Shelf 1     Multicultural scrolls, Japanese concertina, Nag Hammadi tacket binding and islamic flap binding, coptic binding.

Shelf 2     Classical bindings ranging from carolingian, girdle binding and examples of skeleton bindings sewn onto cords/tapes and laced onto boards with/without bands, full and half leather bindings, repairs to bindings and re-back to  one design binding.

Shelf 3    Modern bindings. Star, piano, recycled, dos a dos, pamphlet binding, miniatures.

Shelf 4    Tools, silk, linen, leathers, takes, threads, metallic foil, pure gold foil, paste papersand so on.
